COVID 19 LEARNING AT HOME

Moodja 1

Dear Parents and Carers,

I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge you for your contribution and support throughout these difficult times. I hope that all is well, and everyone is adjusting to the changes as best possible.

To support the continuation of student learning, Miss Schotte and I have been working collaboratively to create a Learning at Home weekly plan beginning Term 2, Week 1. The plans will contain revision and enrichment activities and has been differentiated to suit the needs of both M1 and M5 students. I will be in contact to inform you which coloured group your child belongs to.

I implore you to be flexible with us. I have endeavoured to provide both online and printed materials, as well as suggestions for fun activities that you can do together with your child. Activities will cover all aspects of the curriculum, including Literacy, Maths, Science, History and Geography. If you can’t complete an activity due to access to resources, please choose something from the pink task board grid. Activities in the program are designed to maintain continuity and consolidate prior learning.

I ask that you don’t try to replicate school at home. This is not a home-schooling situation, but a distance learning program. Each fortnight, I will upload a planner with a two week plan to be used at home to maintain a connection to school and learning.

My goal is to make contact with students or their families twice a week using email, phone call or WebEx video link. You can contact me at Janelle.munteanu2@education.wa.edu.au and to stay updated with school news please join the Lockridge Primary School Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/lockridgeprimaryschool.

Stay safe and we will talk soon.
