Dear Lockridge Primary families,
I have made up some fun drama tasks for the students to do at home while we are away from each other.
Firstly, it’s important to remember that we all need to take care of our physical and mental health. For my family and I, that has meant going for a walk each day, eating healthy food, being extra kind and patient with each other, and of course washing our hands well.
These tasks are not meant to add stress on students or parents. Doing the tasks will help keep your mind strong and creative and help you settle into school when we get back together. I have grouped the tasks into classroom blocks. There is a Kwela task, a Baroo task and a Moodja task.
Please join the Facebook group, Drama with Mrs McGhee, https://www.facebook.com/groups/538626803506989/?epa=SEARCH_BOX
It is a closed group and only parents from our school are able to join. There are a few simple security questions to filter people. My aim in creating the Facebook group is to create a positive, interactive group to encourage creativity during this unusual time. I believe it is important to stay in touch with the students and this appears to be the most accessible way.
Please feel free to encourage your child to send me an email, Facebook message through the group above, or drop a letter in the school letter box while we are distance learning. I would love to see photos or videos of any work produced but understand there may be some challenges with this.
Best wishes to you and your family,
